Overview Part 4: Small Ship Cruising

Did we like it? Yep. Of course, we have no basis of comparison. Our fellow travelers, and the tour company, said the rooms are smaller, naturally, than you would have on the big cruise ships. But ours was adequate, bathroom was actually larger than I expected. Upper-level cabins, with balconies, were quite spacious for two people.

Our cabin was near the anchors, and that was loud. Loud enough that we would pay a little more to not be located there again. 

This was a coastal cruise, so there was some chop and some folks did have issues with seasickness, although most seemed to settle once the dramamine worked its way into their systems.

Staff and crew could not have been more helpful (and were probably a bit too attentive at times, I don't need to be greeted and assisted quite so much). Despite some language in the literature about "no alcohol outside rooms and lounge/dining" several of us managed to stage happy hour on the sundeck for several evenings featuring the day's foraging ("We have too much fromage!" Like it's a problem.)

Would we do it again? Yes. Next up - we'd like to do a river cruise.
